Snowshoeing

Explore the great outdoors during your winter vacation by going on a Vail snowshoeing tour. Snowshoeing has been around for thousands of years. In fact, it is believed that snowshoes were invented in Central Asia.

Modern day snowshoeing consists of supporters who hike trails and competitors who race! For snowshoe beginners, the sport is very easy to learn. During your trip, Exclusive Vail Rentals suggests visiting the Vail Nordic School in Golden Peak. The school features over six miles of snowshoe trails. Daily group tours are offered at 10AM for ages 14 years old and up. It is recommended to show up 35 minutes early to get fitted for your rental equipment. During tours, the group leaders provide educational information on local wildlife and area history.

To keep warm, wear layers including snow pants, gloves, a snow jacket, a hat, warm wool socks and sunglasses. For footwear, stick with waterproof boots.

For more information, please contact the Vail Nordic School by calling 970-754-3200. Exclusive Vail Rentals wishes you happy outdoor exploring!
